Urgent Fundraising – Mohamad Noah Zayyan (Heart Disease)

Description
When the couple first learned about the pregnancy, they were overjoyed. However, medical tests later revealed that both parents were carriers of thalassemia. To make matters worse, the expectant mother was diagnosed with gestational diabetes and uterine fibroids. Despite their worries, they remained hopeful—until the heartbreaking moment when their baby was born with a bluish complexion, struggling to breathe.
Little Mohamad Noah Zayyan bin Mohamad Zulkifli, from Pendang, Kedah, was diagnosed with a severe congenital heart defect. Just one day after birth, doctors had to perform an emergency procedure to stabilize his condition. However, he urgently needs a major corrective heart surgery before he turns four weeks old—or he will not survive.
Now, his desperate and helpless parents are turning to the community for support, hoping to raise RM110,000 for the surgery that could save their baby’s life.

The baby boy was born full-term on January 13, but his mother, weakened from labor, only had a fleeting glance at him before he turned blue from oxygen deprivation and was rushed to the intensive care unit (ICU) for oxygen support. Initial assessments suspected a congenital heart defect, leading to an urgent referral to the central hospital for further examinations.
Doctors later confirmed that the baby suffers from Transposition of the Great Arteries (TGA), Atrial Septal Defect (ASD), Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD), and Patent Ductus Arteriosus (PDA). Due to the severity of his condition, an emergency BAS procedure was performed on his second day of life to temporarily stabilize him while awaiting a major heart repair surgery.
The doctors warned that the corrective surgery must be performed before he turns one month old; otherwise, the risk of heart failure would become fatal. However, the staggering RM110,000 required for the surgery has left the young parents overwhelmed and helpless.
The baby’s father, Mohamad Zulkifli bin Ibrahim (31 years old), is a scaffolding worker earning RM4,600 per month, while his mother, Siti Nur Nadia bt Hasmizam (23 years old), is a housewife. Their newborn son is their only child.
With the father working in Johor and the mother recovering in her hometown in Kedah, the couple has been struggling with frequent travel costs and medical follow-ups. While they can barely cover transportation and follow-up expenses, the surgical costs are far beyond their means, leaving them no choice but to seek public support.
After reviewing the case, One Hope Charity has committed to raising the RM110,000 needed for the baby's life-saving surgery. The family has entrusted us with full responsibility for managing the fundraising campaign. Additionally, RM10,000 will be allocated from our Emergency Medical & Contingency Fund for immediate support.
