Urgent Fundraising – Mohd Nasir (Stroke)

Description
64-year-old Mohd Nasir has faced challenges since childhood when a high fever led to polio, causing his left leg to atrophy and limiting his mobility. Despite this, he never allowed his physical limitations to hold him back. With unwavering determination and resilience, Nasir worked hard to support his family, raising three children with his wife. Though they lived modestly, their home was always filled with warmth and love.
Recently, tragedy struck when Nasir suddenly collapsed, displaying symptoms such as a crooked mouth, slurred speech, and extreme fatigue. His family was thrown into panic as his daughter quickly called an ambulance to rush him to the hospital. After an urgent examination, doctors diagnosed him with a stroke. They immediately administered intravenous thrombolysis in an attempt to dissolve the blood clot in his brain. However, even after four hours of treatment, the clot remained.
"My father's sudden stroke caught us completely off guard," said his daughter. "The doctors warned us that without a mechanical thrombectomy, his life could be in danger, or he could face permanent paralysis. We are overwhelmed by the cost of this urgent procedure and are now appealing to the public for help, hoping to give my father a chance to survive."
【Despite contracting polio from a young age due to high fever, the man remained resilient and self-reliant. Although physically impaired, he worked diligently and provided for his wife and family】
Mohd Nasir, a 64-year-old from Seberang Perai Selatan, dedicated 33 years of his life working for a company, handling various errands. Despite having polio that caused his left leg to atrophy, making it difficult for him to stand for long periods or walk long distances, he remained determined to work. He even managed to drive, supporting his wife and children, earning the respect and admiration of his children as a devoted father.
At the age of 55, Nasir was forced to retire early due to hypertension, high blood sugar, and high cholesterol. The family had hoped that he could enjoy a peaceful retirement, but this dream was shattered when he suffered a sudden stroke. According to his family, Nasir was disciplined, taking his medication regularly and attending follow-up appointments in an effort to stay healthy, but unfortunately, he could not escape the sudden attack of illness.
Nasir's wife, Hamidah Binti Mohd Noor, 69, is a housewife. The couple has three children. Their eldest son, who previously worked in an anti-drug agency, tragically passed away in a car accident years ago, leaving a deep scar on the family. Their second son, 37, is a draftsman with three young children. Their only daughter, 33, sells red bean ice by the roadside with her husband, but their income is barely enough to cover their living expenses. When their father fell seriously ill, the family felt helpless and overwhelmed.
The loss of their eldest son was a heavy blow to the family, and now, with their father suffering from a stroke, they are terrified of facing yet another loss. Knowing how much their father has sacrificed for the family, they refuse to stand by and watch him struggle against illness alone. The family has made the difficult decision to seek help from the public, hoping to raise the RM60,000 needed for Nasir’s surgery to save his life.
Upon receiving their request, One Hope Charity swiftly conducted an emergency assessment and has decided to help Mohd Nasir’s family raise the necessary RM60,000 for his medical expenses. The family has entrusted the fundraising efforts entirely to One Hope Charity, which will manage the collection of donations on their behalf.
