Muhammad Aidan Naufal bin Mohamad Rizuan, from Kulim, Kedah, was born with dangerously low oxygen levels. His parents rushed him to the hospital, where doctors diagnosed him with a congenital heart defect. At just two months old, he underwent surgery to temporarily implant a stent to sustain his life, but this was only a short-term solution.

Now, at nine months old, Aidan is experiencing rapid breathing, shortness of breath, and extreme fatigue. Doctors have warned that if he does not undergo a crucial surgery before his first birthday, his life will be at serious risk. His helpless parents are seeking help, but the RM90,000 surgery cost is beyond their means. Their only hope is the kindness of society—to give their child a second chance at life.

At 18, Norshakila bt Mohd Noor suffered a spinal injury from a fall, leaving her paralyzed from the waist down. The sudden loss of mobility plunged her into despair, relying on her mother’s care. It was only after meeting her husband, Mohd Rizuan bin Azman, that she found hope again and resolved to become independent. Determined to support her family, she learned to live self-sufficiently in a wheelchair. Today, she can cook, care for her children, and even drive a modified vehicle to send them to school and medical appointments.

Her resilience and efforts built a warm and loving home, but tragedy struck when her youngest son, 9-month-old Muhammad Aidan Naufal, was diagnosed with Complex Univentricular Heart Disease, accompanied by Unbalanced Atrioventricular Septal Defect (Unbalanced AVSD), Right Ventricular Hypoplasia (RV Hypoplastic), and Pulmonary Atresia.

At birth, Aidan’s oxygen levels dropped dangerously low, requiring immediate admission to the intensive care unit. At two months old, he underwent a temporary procedure to implant a stent to sustain his life. However, as he grows, his condition worsens. He now suffers from rapid breathing, shortness of breath, and extreme fatigue. Doctors have warned that he urgently needs Bilateral Bidirectional Glenn surgery and Pulmonary Arterioplasty to remove the stent, or he risks fainting from oxygen deprivation and facing life-threatening consequences.

Aidan’s father, Mohd Rizuan, is an electrical technician earning a modest salary of RM3,000 per month, while his mother, despite her strength and determination, is unable to work due to her physical condition. The couple has three young children (aged 7, 5, and 9 months), and while little Aidan is full of energy, learning to crawl and stand, his playful nature has led to two terrifying episodes of oxygen deprivation and fainting, leaving his parents in constant fear for his life.
