Urgent Fundraising – Siti Khadijah (Heart Disease)

Description
"She looks completely normal—active and lively, without any signs of illness. We never expected anything to be wrong. But the doctor told us that without immediate surgery, her life would be in danger. As parents, we are heartbroken and worried, but we have no choice but to seek help from the public, hoping to give our child a chance to live."
Siti Khadijah bt Mohammad Ishak, from Pokok Sena, Kedah, was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect at birth. She underwent surgery at 9 months old and had been growing up healthily since then. However, a recent medical check-up revealed a critical heart valve abnormality, posing a severe threat to her life if left untreated.
Her parents, who are struggling financially, are unable to afford the high medical costs. Desperate and helpless, they are now seeking RM90,000 in donations to save their daughter’s life. They humbly appeal to the public for support in helping their child overcome this life-threatening challenge.
【A Cheerful and Active Child, But Her Condition Cannot Be Ignored】
Siti Khadijah loves cycling and is passionate about ball games. Doctors have advised her parents to seek immediate medical attention if she experiences shortness of breath or difficulty breathing. Fortunately, she has not encountered such issues so far. However, a recent check-up brought alarming news that has left her family deeply worried.
At birth, Siti Khadijah appeared normal during pregnancy, but upon full-term delivery, she experienced rapid breathing and was immediately placed in the intensive care unit for oxygen support. Further examinations diagnosed her with Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD) and Pulmonary Stenosis (PS). She remained hospitalized for three months, relying on oxygen support before being discharged, and successfully underwent heart surgery at nine months old to repair the defect.
Since then, Siti Khadijah has lived a relatively healthy life, attending regular medical check-ups. She remains an energetic and active child, showing no obvious signs of illness. However, she struggles with being underweight, unable to gain weight normally. Additionally, whenever she falls sick, she experiences shortness of breath and requires an inhaler to relieve her symptoms.
During her most recent check-up, doctors discovered that she now suffers from severe pulmonary regurgitation and worsening right ventricular function. Additionally, her heart has begun to enlarge. Without urgent surgery to replace her pulmonary valve with a biological valve, her life will be at serious risk. The surgery costs RM90,000, a sum her financially struggling family simply cannot afford, leaving them desperate and helpless.
Her father, Mohammad Ishak bin Ibrahim (51 years old), works as a rubber tapper and also takes on part-time work spraying herbicide, but his monthly income is merely RM1,000, making it impossible to cover the overwhelming medical expenses. Her mother, Faridah bt Shafie (40 years old), is a full-time housewife. The couple has four children, aged 18, 16, 12, and 9, who are still in school, further straining their financial situation.
After conducting a home visit and assessment, ONE HOPE CHARITY has decided to launch a fundraising campaign to help Siti Khadijah raise the necessary funds for her surgery. The family has entrusted the charity to fully manage the fundraising efforts and collect donations on their behalf. Additionally, ONE HOPE CHARITY will allocate RM5,000 from the "Emergency Medical & Contingency Fund" to assist with the case.
