Description

A 42-year-old housewife has suddenly suffered a stroke, leaving her with full-body weakness, and doctors have stated that she urgently requires surgery to remove blood clots from her brain. Her husband, heartbroken and in tears, is appealing to the community for help in raising RM60,000 for the life-saving procedure.

“She is not only my devoted wife but also my strong support in life. Her sudden stroke has caught me completely off guard, and the high cost of surgery is overwhelming for us. I would do anything to save her. I humbly ask everyone to help us and save my wife.”

Zubaidah bt Abdullah, from Permatang Pauh Penang, has been living with high blood pressure for nearly ten years, which often fluctuates. In the past week, she began experiencing dizziness, and two days ago, she suddenly became extremely weak, making it difficult to even pick up objects. Her family rushed her to the hospital, where doctors initially diagnosed her with a stroke. Despite treatment with serotonin, the results were unsatisfactory, and doctors have recommended a Mechanical Thrombectomy to quickly remove the blood clots from her brain.

【As he gazed at his wife lying in the hospital bed, barely able to speak and fighting for her life, her husband was filled with profound sorrow, unable to hold back his tears. He hoped for her strength to return, wishing for the day when she could resume their normal life together once more】

Zubaidah experienced full-body weakness one morning, and her family noticed something was seriously wrong, especially when she struggled to hold items while shopping at the supermarket. Concerned, they immediately took her to a nearby clinic for medical attention. After examination, doctors found her blood pressure had skyrocketed to over 200, indicating an emergency situation, and they promptly arranged for her to be transferred to the hospital for further evaluation.

Upon arrival at the hospital, Zubaidah became disoriented and unable to speak. Doctors confirmed the presence of blood clots in her brain. Although medication had been initiated, it was ineffective in resolving the clots. A second scan revealed severe blockage in her blood vessels, prompting doctors to recommend an immediate transfer to the only hospital in Northern Malaysia equipped to perform a Mechanical Thrombectomy. However, the cost of the surgery is RM60,000, leaving her husband and children feeling helpless.

If surgery is not performed during this critical window, Zubaidah risks permanent paralysis and potentially life-threatening consequences; however, undergoing the procedure could significantly improve her chances of survival.

Before marriage, Zubaidah worked as a factory operator, but she has since devoted herself to caring for her family while also working as a babysitter for a child, earning approximately RM450 a month. Due to ongoing dizziness over the past week, she has had to temporarily stop her babysitting job.

Her husband, Zabani bin Zakaria (52), is a lorry driver with a base salary of RM1,848. The couple has three children: their eldest daughter, 21, is preparing for further studies; their second daughter, 19, recently started working at a factory; and their youngest son, 16, is still in school.

After conducting a home visit and assessment, ONE HOPE CHARITY has decided to assist in raising the RM60,000 needed for Zubaidah’s surgery. Zabani has agreed to entrust the fundraising efforts entirely to the foundation, which will also handle the receipt of donations.
