Urgent Fundraising – Zulkafli (Stroke)

Description
The 50-year-old head of the family suddenly collapsed in the early hours of the morning due to a stroke, losing the ability to speak. After a thorough examination, it was confirmed that he urgently needed surgery to save his life. His wife and children, with nowhere else to turn, are now appealing to the public for help to raise the RM 65,000 required for the surgery.
"When my husband suddenly collapsed, my child and I were overwhelmed with fear and helplessness, but no matter what, we will not give up on his life. To save him, we earnestly ask everyone to help us raise the necessary funds for the surgery."
Zulkafli bin Hassan, from Bukit Mertajam, Penang, was chatting with a friend outside his house in the early hours of National Day when he suddenly fell to the ground and lost his ability to speak, with weakness in his limbs. His friend immediately rushed him to a nearby hospital. Preliminary examinations indicated a possible stroke, and he was urgently transferred to a larger hospital for further tests. He was ultimately diagnosed with a stroke, requiring immediate mechanical thrombectomy to save his life.
However, the exorbitant cost of the surgery has plunged the mother and child into despair. They are unable to afford such a large sum for the medical expenses. If it were just a few thousand ringgit, they could have somehow managed to scrape it together, but facing this overwhelming amount, they feel utterly helpless. With no other options, they eventually turned to ONE HOPE CHARITY for assistance.
【The strong and healthy head of the family had always been free from illness, relying on painkillers to manage occasional fevers and toothaches. However, the sudden onset of a stroke caught everyone by surprise, causing the family's pillar to collapse, leaving his wife and children in shock】
Zulkafli bin Hassan is a security guard at a factory, working around the clock with rotating shifts. In the early hours of National Day, while chatting with a friend outside his home, he suddenly felt dizzy and collapsed. His friend quickly helped him up and applied some medicated oil, but moments later, Zulkafli began to slur his speech and felt extreme weakness before fainting again. Realizing the severity of the situation, his friend immediately drove him to a nearby hospital in a private car.
After an initial examination, the medical staff urgently transferred Zulkafli to Seberang Jaya Hospital. Detailed tests revealed that he had suffered a stroke, and he was immediately given initial treatment. Around 6 a.m., the doctors informed his family that his condition had temporarily stabilized, allowing Zulkafli's wife and children to return home for some rest.
Zulkafli’s wife, Atiah (49), shared that around noon, she received a call from the hospital informing her that her husband’s condition had suddenly worsened. He needed to be urgently transferred to a specialized hospital for surgery to remove the blood clot in his brain, or his life would be in grave danger. The high cost of the surgery left Atiah devastated, unsure of what to do, and she eventually sought help.
Zulkafli earns a modest monthly salary of RM 1,500 as a security guard at a factory. His wife, Atiah, also works as a factory operator, earning the same amount. The couple has four children; their 21-year-old eldest son is currently unemployed, while their younger sons, aged 19, 15, and 8, are still in school. Although their family has always lived modestly, they have been close-knit. Now, with the sudden collapse of the family’s breadwinner, a heavy shadow has been cast over their already difficult lives.
After an urgent review, ONE HOPE CHARITY decided to launch a fundraising campaign to cover Zulkafli’s medical expenses. The family has agreed to entrust the fundraising activities entirely to ONE HOPE CHARITY, which will also manage the collection of donations.
