He is only 16 years old but suffers from hearing difficulties. His left ear left 40% function but his right ear suffers from total lost of hearing. His parents are worried that he will face obstacles in his social life and hope that the generous society can help him to accumulate a total RM87,500 for artificial cochlea implant surgery.
Chai Wei Bin who is from Raub, Pahang was normal when he is a kid until he was 13 years old. His teacher talked to him but he ignored his teacher. This has brought attention to his parents and his parents brought him for checkup. Doctors did not find any abnormality with him.
Last year, his result dropped and his parents brought him to checkup again. Doctors then confirmed that he suffer total lost of hearing on his right ear and his left ear left 40% functioning. Because of this, he starts to face obstacles in his social life and refuse to talk.
His left ear is equipped with hearing aid and his right ear are required to be implanted with Artificial Cochlea. The surgery cost RM87,500.
His father, Chai Chie Kiong, 48, is a tiles worker. His income is not constant and his daily income is RM100. His mother, Anna, 37, is a waitress in a restaurant and drawing a salary of RM1,200. Wei Bin has 2 elder brother who is 20 and 17 years old respectively. He also has an 8 years old younger sister.
