Dengue has caused a wife cum lovely mother to be in a vegetative state. Luckily, her husband was allowed to end his quarantine earlier so that he can take care of his wife.
LEE KWEI CHOONG, 44, who came back from Singapore pled to MOH to end his quarantine earlier through video conferencing so that he can take care of his ill wife in Malaysia, CHEAH CHAI LIAN, 39.
This request has been granted 3 hours after his video conferencing. He rushed to KL to take care of his wife and dealing with the school transferring process for his 3 children. CHEAH CHAI LIAN now is in ICU.
The husband go to and fro from Malaysia to Singapore to earn a living. The sudden news of his wife suffering from Dengue has caused his wife to be transferred from Johor hospital to Seremban. She is now in UMMC for heart surgery.
Although CHEAH CHAI LIAN is awake, she is unable to move her limbs and she requires physio therapy. She has been admitted for more than a month. His medical bill is been increasing. One Hope Charity has decided to assist to accumulate RM50,000 for medical fees
?Condition?
CHEAH CHAI LIAN suffered from fever since July for a week. She was admitted to Johor Hospital for a week. After she was discharged, her condition was not stable. She was transferred to Seremban hospital.
Doctors then diagnosed her with perforated heart. Her heart was infected with bacteria. She was then admitted to UMMC on 7th August. Her condition deteriorated and she fell into coma.
Bacteria then attack her other organ and she is still in ICU. Doctors had asked her family member to be mentally prepared as she may requires injection. The side effect may caused her to be paralyze.
She is now awake but her limbs is unable to move.
She requires physio therapy and her brain still have bacteria. She still requires to be monitored in ICU

Her husband LEE KWEI CHOONG, 44, is working as a supervisor in a factory for 18 years. He draws a monthly salary of SGD2200. They have 3 children who are 16, 14 years old daughter and a 12 years old son.
He is unemployed currently. He and his 3 children is currently staying with his sister in Cheras.
