"Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach a man how to fish and you feed him for a lifetime" One Hope Charity had initiated a fundraising to help needy students to attend online classes and ensuring that they will not be left out in their education.
Before school reopens, One Hope Charity had purchased 350 units of tablets and were distributed to 20 schools. This is to ensure that they were not left out in their studies. The result of this contribution is very positive. Schools had came forward to recommend poor students to obtain this assistance.
Towards certain families, purchasing a tablet is never a hard thing but towards low-income families, this will be a great burden.
Since the implementation of MCO last year, One Hope Charity had received applications from the needy families. They pointed that the outbreak has caused much difficulties for them and while their children needs to attend online classes, they were unable to afford tablet. One Hope Charity had think through this and had contributed 350 units of tablet to needy students.
After school reopens, we receive feedback from schools that there are still many needy students are unable to attend online classes. As a result, we had decided to purchase another 50 units of tablet and hope that needy families' children can receive education without any obstacles.
Is 400 units of tablet enough? 400 units of tablet can only cover a small number of needy students. There are still many needy students out there that were left out in their education due to lack of facilities.
Hence, One Hope Charity had decided to open a fundraising to accumulate funds to purchase tablet for the needy students and giving them a fair chance in education. We receives any amount of donations and hopefully, all poor and needy students are able to attend online classes.
