Tan Kee Boon – Stroke Treatment Medical Fees

A good father relies on a small amount of income, sacrifice his own well-being to raise his 4 children. (2 of them are OKU card holder). Unfortunately, he suffers from stroke last month and this has gave the family a big obstacle in life.

Since young, he works as a shop assistance in a textile shop in Bukit Mertajam to raise his family. Tan Kee Boon, 58, fainted at 15th of Nov and doctor confirmed that he suffers from stroke. The increase of medical fee had burdened the whole family and they hope that the generous society could help to accumulate RM100,000.

Tan Kee Boon had undergone urgent surgery on 16th Dec to clear the blood clot in his brain. The surgery took 5 hours and he fell into a coma after the surgery.

He was kept under monitoring in ICU for 2 weeks. He was then transferred to recovery ward on 29th Nov and transferred to normal ward on 3rd Dec. He is now awake but he is half-paralyze and unable to talk. He is estimated to stay in hospital for 1 more month.

His wife and his 4 children are worried about him. They visited him in hospital every day and his wife cried every day. The worst thing is their medical expenses increase dramatically. They have no other options than seeking help from us.

Spent their savings for the treatment of his 2 OKU children

Tan Kee Boon and his wife has 4 children. Their children who age 31 years old and 25 years old are disable and they are OKU card holder.

Since they are young, their father brought them to seek many medical alternative and also brought them for surgery hoping that his 2 children can live a healthy life. Unfortunately, they did not recover.

His 31 years old son got married last year and his wife is pregnant. His family should be happily awaiting for the birth of the baby but unfortunately, Tan Kee Boon suffer from stroke. His 4 children had borrowed money which amount to RM42,000 for Tan Kee Boon’s medical expenses. They are lacking of RM100,000 and his medical expenses is still increasing.

Tan Kee Boon is unable to move now but once his condition is stable, he will be transfer to general hospital for monitoring.
