He is only 3 years old and has to go through chemotherapy. He faces the side effect of chemotherapy and are forced to undergo treatments.
3 years old Tan Wei Yi who used to be an active kid from Klang. 2 months ago, he was diagnosed with Leukemia and had started chemotherapy. He is only 3 years old but he is strong in facing chemotherapy. His family hopes that the generous public could lend a helping hand to accumulate RM95,000 for his chemotherapy cost & bone marrow transplant cost.
Tan Wei Yi is the youngest among 4 sibling. In August, he suddenly turned pale and his parents brought him for checkup. Doctors told his parents that he is hypotension and requires nutrient.
Tan Wei Yi started experiencing vomiting's and had scared his parents. His parents then brought him to hospital for checkup. His platelet level was low and was transferred to UM hospital.
?Diagnosed with Leukemia?
Since then, he was forced to go for treatment every week. Doctors suggested him to go for chemotherapy and he started his treatment on 27th Aug under government's subsidy. After a month, his result is not that good and doctors suggested that the best way to recover is to go for bone marrow transplant surgery.
Tan Wei Yi is experiencing side effect and his body is swollen. He is also unable to walk. He frequently cries and his mother need to take care of him 24 hours.
?Parents are forced to stop working?
Facing the challenges, his parents are forced to resigned to take care of him. They urgently need the help from the generous public.
His father Tan Kean Giap , 41, is a paint spraying technician who draws a monthly salary of RM3,000. Due to MCO and he keeps on taking leave to take care of his son, he was forced to resigned. His mother, Tan Lay Lan, 38, is a car salesperson, drawing a. monthly salary of RM3,000. Due to her son's condition, he was forced to resign to take care of him.
The family is unable to afford the medical expenses of him. As a result, they came forward to seek help from One Hope Charity and hoping that the generous public can give their son a second chance in life.
