Old aged father injured his spine and could not really move. He thought that he could rely on his 12 years old son to help him in his daily activity but his son suffers from congenital heart disease.
Tan Kheng Kwee, 65, and his son, Tan Yet Juin, 12, lives together in a small wooden house in a fishing village in Simpang Pulai, Perak. His father injured his spine when he tries to move the fishes they caught. He went through surgery and he could not move as much as before and requires walking frame.
He relied on his little earning but due to the accident, he was unable to work. Tan Kheng Kwee and his wife has 3 children but due to this unfortunate circumstances, his wife agrees to bring their 8 years old daughter and 6 years old daughter back to Vietnam. His 12 years old son who suffers from congenital heart disease accompanies his father.
Although his father can barely walk, he insisted to fetch his son to school in town. He also help in a fish breeding farm and earning some money for living.
His son suffers from congenital heart disease and his life is endangered. He is forced to seek help from the public and hope that the public could help them.
Tan Yet Jiun was diagnosed with congenital heart disease when he was born. When he was 17 days old, he underwent his first heart surgery and his second heart surgery was when he was 1 year old.
After 2 surgeries, he requires to go for check-up constantly. Due to financial constraints, his father was unable to bring him for check-up these 2 years.
His father realized that he looks awful and decided to bring him for check-up. Doctors then realized that his arteries has problem and requires surgery.
According to reports from doctors, Tan Jet Juin requires to undergo ballooning surgery. If surgery is delayed, his heart may deteriorate and his life is endangered. His surgery cost RM45,000.
