Siti Zulaikha, 2-weeks-old, who is from Kulim suffers from artery malformation and urgently in need of RM90,000 for surgery while Teh Wei Jian, 1 and a half years old, who is from Bukit Mertajam suffers from serious congenital heart disease. Both of them are in need of RM160,000 in total for surgery.

Diagnosis: Tetralogy of Fallout (Pulmonary Stenosis, Overriding Aorta, Ventricular Septal Defect – VSD, Right Ventricular Hyprethrophy), Progressive Cyanosis.
Surgery Fee: RM70,000
This baby boy was born in Hospital Bukit Mertajam. During checkup a month after birth, doctors realize that he suffers from respiratory murmur and suspected that he has a perforated heart. He was transferred to Penang Central Hospital for further checkup.
After a series of checkups, doctor diagnosed him with congenital heart disease (serious Tetralogy of Fallout) and Progressive cyanosis. Doctors suggested that he needs to go for surgery when he is 8 months old and at the same time, constant checkups are required to monitor sign of deteriorating of his heart.
When he was 8 months old, due to his condition is normal and his family’s economy is not good, his surgery was delayed.
During his last checkups, doctors realize that his heart has deteriorated and was affecting his breathing. At the same time, he also suffers from progressive cyanosis. When he cries, his face will turn to purplish and could not breath properly.
He is currently 1 and a half years old and his parents worried that his hyper activeness can cause his condition to deteriorate. As a result, doctor suggested the baby boy to go for surgery soonest possible.
The baby boy is from Taman Sri Kijang, Bukit Mertajam and he is the only son in the family. His father Teh Kang Weng, 24 is a chef in a restaurant who draws a salary of RM2000 monthly and his mother, Pang Mei Tin, 21 is a housewife.

Name: Siti Zulaikha Shifaa (Born 16 Feb 2019)
Diagnosis: Transposition of Great Artery, Ventricular Septal Defect, Atrial Septal Defect, Patent Ductus Arteriosus.
Surgery Fee: RM90,000
She was born in Kulim Hospital and after a day she was born, she faced difficulties in breathing. After checkup, doctors confirmed that she suffers from congenital heart disease, malformation of arteries and perforated heart. As a result, she has respiration murmur and his limbs is purplish.
The baby girl was then sent to ICU for treatment and monitor and she is currently on nasogastric tube feeding and requires respiratory aid machine.
Doctors inject her with prostaglandin to stabilize her condition until surgery. Medication can only provide temporary relief and she needs to undergo surgery to fix her perforated heart and arteries.
Doctors suggested her to go for surgery when she is 3 weeks old. She is currently 2 weeks old and as she is a newborn baby, doctors worried that bacterial infection might happen if surgery is delayed. As a result, urgent surgery is required.
Baby girl is from Kulim, Kedah and her father Mohd Shaifullah Al-Helmey, 34 is a technician. He draws a monthly salary of RM3000 with OT. Her mother Siti Khairyah, 35 is a housewife. The baby girl has 4 elder brother who age 3 to 10 years old respectively.
As both of the family’s financial condition are not able to bear their surgery fee, they came forward to seek help from One Hope Charity and hoping that with the help of the generous public, both of the children will be saved.
Their parents agreed to allow One Hope Charity & Welfare Berhad to take charge of the fundraising and at the same time accumulating the donations from the public.
