Urgent Fundraising – Dian Naura (Heart Disease) 2.0

"The child is very active, but her hyperactivity often triggers cyanosis and shortness of breath. So, we are constantly on edge, worried that her heart may not be able to handle it at times... That's why we hope she can undergo surgery as soon as possible. Please help us."

2-year-old Dian Naura Bt Muhd Adlifitri from Sungai Petani, Kedah, has been suffering from Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF) since childhood. She often experiences cyanosis and difficulty breathing due to excessive crying or intense physical activity. Now, weighing 10 kilograms, she is finally ready for surgery to address her heart condition. Her parents are pleading for RM 90,000 for the surgery to save their child's life.

【After 6 years of marriage, they finally welcomed the arrival of their long-awaited child, only to receive the devastating diagnosis of a severe and complex congenital heart disease shortly after birth】

During pregnancy, everything seemed normal, but three days after the child was born, doctors informed the parents about the child's heart issues. Detailed examinations revealed that the child was suffering from Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF), which includes ventricular septal defect, pulmonary stenosis, overriding aorta, and right ventricular hypertrophy. However, the child was allowed to be discharged from the hospital with medication to alleviate the condition.

Unfortunately, during a routine check-up when the child was two months old, doctors noticed a sudden decrease in the child's blood oxygen levels. Emergency surgery was performed to place a stent in the cardiovascular system, followed by a modified Blalock-Taussig (B-T) shunt surgery last year. However, this was only a temporary measure, and the child needed to weigh 10 kilograms before undergoing further surgery.

Over the past few years, the mother has been diligently caring for the child, fearing any mishaps, and living each day with trepidation.

Earlier this year, the child began experiencing symptoms such as asthma and breathing difficulties. During a regular check-up, doctors informed that the child needed another surgery to repair the defects in the heart. Currently, the child weighs 8.9 kilograms, and the surgery is deemed necessary.

The father, Muhd Adli Fitri bin Hasshim (33 years old), is a deliveryman with a monthly income ranging from RM 2500 to RM 4000. The mother, Nur Syafiqah bt Pa’Su (33 years old), is a housewife.

After a home visit and assessment, One Hope Charity decided to assist in raising the required RM 90,000 for the surgery. The family agreed to entrust the fundraising activities to the One Hope Charity and authorized them to collect donations. One Hope Charity will allocate RM 10,000 from the Emergency Medical Reserve Fund for this case.
