The family who is from Petaling Jaya are expecting their baby on 16th August but during routine check-up on 11th June, doctor realised that there are underlying condition and arranged for further check-up after 3 days. The results shows that the baby's heartbeat is weak and the mother has hypertension. The albumin level in her urine is high. Doctor is worried that the baby may suffocate in her mother's womb and had used medication to increase the functionality of the baby's heart and lungs. An emergency c-section was then performed.
The baby girl was born on 14th June, weighing 1kg. She was sent to incubator as soon as she was born and estimated to stay for 4 to 6 weeks. Her mother is unable to pay for the medical expenses and is very worried about her daughter's condition.
The baby's heart and lungs is well developed but her stomach is bloated due to bacterial infection. Doctor had provided her with antibiotic and she is currently under monitoring.
The couple has no children after being married for 10 years. They tried hard and eventually was expecting their eldest daughter's birth in 2017. The mother then experienced miscarriage and they had their second baby after 4 years of trying. They had prepared a few thousand of living fee but the baby was born prematurely. The medical fee is expected to sum up to RM30,000.
The father, Suresh A/L Subramaniam, 38, is a logistic staff. He draws a monthly salary of RM4,000. The mother, Letchumi A/P Yengoo is a housewife. The couple has an eldest daughter who is 4 years old. They are required to bear the expensive of taking care of her 68 years old mother and her divorcee 36 years old sister. They barely make ends meet monthly and is unable to bear the medical expenses.
