Mohammad Amsyar Aqil from Pendang, Kedah, was a premature baby. Her mother’s estimated due date was supposed to be on May 31, but his mother had a premature rupture of membranes, and she gave birth to Mohammad Amsyar Aqil on April 11. Although he was born before the estimated due date, but he was born normal with a weight of 2.14kg. He was discharged after three days.

At early June, which is about two months after he was born, the baby had shortness of breath. He had difficulties in breathing and had to breathe through his mouth when he was drinking milk. This had caused his milk intake process to be very time consuming, so his parents brought him to a clinic on June 11, and he was referred to a government hospital soon after that. The doctor conducted checks on him and confirmed that he suffers from congenital heart defect, namely Truncus Arteriosus (TA), atrial septal defect (ASD) and ventricular septal defect (VSD).

Doctor said that the boy is suffering from a rare congenital heart disease, which would appear only five to six weeks after birth, and it is more severe compared to many other congenital heart diseases. The surgical fee cost RM90,000. The young parents have to borrow from their family and friends, but they could only raise RM10,000. They plead for help from the public to help them with the shortfall of RM80,000.
