Urgent Fundraising – Riz Harris Adrian (Premature Baby)

URGENT

100%

To get pregnant after 11 years, the family were looking forward to welcoming a new member to their family, but at a gestational age of 33 weeks, the baby stopped growing inside the womb. The doctor quickly performed a C-section and sent the premature baby to an incubator till all of his organs were properly developed. The family can only handle a portion of the medical fee, and currently short of RM53,000, which hopefully can be helped by the public donors.

The premature baby boy Riz Harris Adrian bin Muhammad Hazmin was born with a body weight of 1.44kg. Not only that he has to stay inside the incubator, but has to take 5 lung booster shots, which contributed heavily to the medical fee.

When the mother still has him inside his womb, both the mother and the baby are in good condition and the whole family is welcoming the new arrival. At 33rd week of gestational age, however, the doctor noticed that the mother has sudden high blood pressure and swollen urethral opening. Worst of all, the baby inside her mother’s womb has not been receiving nutrients from the mother’s body, stunting his growth.

In order to protect the baby, the doctor performed the C-section. The premature baby, when delivered, was only weighing at 1.44kg. Furthermore, his lungs were not properly developed, unable to manually breathe, so the doctor had sent the baby to the incubator and used a breathing machine for aid until his lungs were fully developed.

In addition, the baby must be injected with five lung booster shots due to his undeveloped organs, and each booster shot costs RM5,000. The baby also had to deal with hernia and must stay in the NICU for around a month.

The family from Ipoh can only bear RM25,000 for the medical fee, they are still short of RM53,000. Unable to pay the remaining fee, the parents approached One Hope Charity for aid.

The father, Muhammad Hazmin bin Dayarobi, 40, is a maritime engineer with a monthly income of RM6,000, but his salary was cut due to the pandemic. The mother Noor Aishah binti Ibrahim, 39, is a customs staff with a monthly income of RM2,000. They both also have a twin son, aged 11.
