Wong Eng Hua, 43, who is from Butterworth, Penang worked hard to earn a living so that his family will have a stable life. His savings had depleted after paying his 4 treatments. He has a strong will power to fight cancer and he hopes that the kind-hearted public could help him to accumulate RM200,000 for his continuous treatment.
Wong Eng Hua felt discomfort in his stomach few months ago and he went for check-up. He was then diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. After opinions from many parties, he decided to receive treatment in Guangzhou, China.
He started his battle with cancer on 28th May. He requires to be hospitalized for 10 days for each treatment. These 10 days include check-ups, treatment, observation and rest. He has completed 4 treatments and this month in October, he will receive his 5th treatment.
His 4 treatments has consumed around RM130,000. These medical expenses was accumulated by other organizations and insurance (Limit has reached this year), borrowing from friends & relatives and his personal savings. According to the medical report from Guangzhou’s Hospital, he has to undergo 6 more treatments and it cost RM200,000.
Eng Hua and his wife has 2 sons (13 years old and 15 years old respectively). He worked in lathe industry previously and drawing a salary of RM3,500 monthly. His wife works in a factory.
Previously, he worked overtime till Sunday as he wish to provide a stable life for his 2 sons as they are growing up. He did not expected that his savings will be depleted when he felt ill.
Even though the battle with cancer is suffering, but his will power is strong because of his wife and children. He hopes that the society can lend him a helping hand and giving him a chance to recover.
