These 3 couple whose baby is suffering from congenital heart disease had bring stress and pressure to their lives. They truly hope that the generous society could donate and help their babies.
Patient 1: Rare congenital heart disease
Name: Yap Jia Xing
Age: 3 weeks old (Born 16th Nov 2019)
Diagnosis: Pulmonary Atresia with Intact Ventricular Septum, PA/IVS)
Surgery Fee: RM60,000
When his mother is 6 months pregnant, doctor realized that the his heart has problem. Exact diagnosis is required after birth. He was born with purplish skin colour due to lack of oxygen. He was then being rescued and was confirmed to suffer from rare congenital heart disease.
The right ventricle of his heart is not completely growed and causing the blood flow to his lungs is obstructed. Urgent surgery is required as he is showing the symptoms of progressive cyanosis.
The baby boy is from Ampang, KL. His father, Yap Tech Fah, 29, is a construction worker who draws a monthly salary of RM2,800. His mother, Kok Phui Yi, 29 is a housewife. The baby boy is the first born of the couple.
Patient 2: Pale skin colour during birth
Name: Muhammad Uwais Alfan
Age: 1 month old (Born 21st Dec 2019)
Diagnosis: Perforated Heart
Surgery Fee: RM70,000
His skin colour was pale due to lack of oxygen during birth. Doctors had provided him with treatment and manage to save his life.
The baby boy was diagnosed with favism when he was born. After being treated in hospital for a week, after 2 days of discharged, he was once again admitted to hospital. Doctors diagnosed him with gene mutation and perforated heart. Doctors suggest him to go for surgery soonest possible.
The baby boy is from Pulau Langkawi. His father, Muhammad Faiz, 24 is a cable car technician who draws a monthly salary of RM1,325. His mother, Noor Syaza, 23, is a temporary teacher in a kindergarten. Since pregnant, she quited her job. The baby boy is the first born of the couple.
Patient 3: Undergone 2 surgeries. He requires one last surgery
Name: Muhammad Nur Darwis Fahmi
Age: 2 years old (Born 24th July 2017)
Diagnosis: Tetralogy of Fallout (TOF)
Surgery Fee: RM80,000
The baby boy was diagnosed with perforated heart when he was born. He was kept under monitoring in NICU and underwent surgery.
This year in May, the baby boy experience breathing difficulties and had undergone surgery. One last surgery is required but due to financial constraints, his parents delayed his surgery.
His condition now is unable to delay further. Doctors advised his parent to bring him for surgery else his heart may stop anytime.
The baby boy is from Kuala Kurau, Perak. His father, Mohd Shah Mizan, 36, is an operation staff in an oil palm plantation and drawing a monthly salary between RM1,100 and RM2,000 (Depends on the rate of harvest). His mother, Zaikiah, 37, is a housewife. They have 4 children who age between 8 years old (daughter), 7 years old (twin son) and 2 years old (Muhammad Nur Darwis Fahmi).
