The annual giving of essential needs to the poor by One Hope Charity will be held on December 4th to bring warmth to those who are cared for. This year, in conjunction with One Hope Charity’s 20th anniversary, 5,000 essential supplies and red packets worth RM350 were prepared for distribution to poor families on both Penang island and the mainland.
This year, the campaign will be held on 4th of December (Sunday) at 9am till 3pm at concept hall of Auto City Juru.
For those who is yet to apply from the state assembly (yb) office of Seberang Perai & Penang, the application will start from 5th of November till 6th of November (Saturday & Sunday) at 10am to 3pm at Ng Yam Huat Hall Bukit Mertajam.
Applicants must bring a copy of their ID card, a recent utility bill, and, if they are single-parent families, a death certificate or divorce certificate. One Hope Charity’s responsible team will conduct a review on the spot, and those who qualify will be given a voucher to exchange essential supplie and red packet on the event day.
Each relief is worth RM350 and consists of dry food and red packets. In addition to providing food to the beneficiaries, the red packets allow them to make good use of cash by paying utility bills or purchasing items they require.
One Hope Charity is also looking for volunteers to help out with various tasks so that the activities can be carried out smoothly due to the wide range of activities involved. The required volunteers include the registration activities on November 5th and 6th, and the distribution activities on December 4th.
