Choong Kim Heng is very happy to be able to stay in the nursing home, and he also looks forward to wearing a prosthesis once the amputated wound is healed, when he can contribute himself, to assist the nursing home to do miscellaneous work, or go out to work on his own.

After receiving a notice for help and visiting Choong Kim Heng who had fallen into the streets on March 18, his sister cried out for help from One Hope Charity, so after volunteers took Choong Kim Heng to test negative for Covid-19 infection in the afternoon, they temporarily settled him in an old folks' home on the same day and then looked for other options.

At that time, he only had a backpack and an environmental protection bag hanging on his wheelchair, and money that he has was only RM80 in cash, he was escorted by his brother to stay in the elderly home, and then One Hope Charity also decided to help him raise RM50,000 for the elderly home fee, wound cleaning fee and prosthetic limb cost, and now that the funds needed have been raised, the fundraising will be stopped with immediate effect.

From now on, he no longer needs to worry about living in the exposed weather, but he can also dedicate his efforts to assist the nursing home in dealing with chores after his situation is stable. In the future, if he needs assistance, it is incumbent upon him to lend a helping hand.

He and his younger siblings are grateful for the help of the public to allow Choong Kim Heng to settle down, and he promises to help other people in need if he can in the future.
