“Thank you everyone for the donations and help me put an end to this seemingly endless pain.”

After neglecting the fall injury that occurred 10 years ago, the woman’s old pain began to relapse. The pain in the neck and shoulders became gradually intense every day. Goh Gaik Kee from Seberang Perai needed RM25,000 to undergo surgery and to resolve the pain. Yesterday, when the fundraiser was launched, the fundraising goal was reached and Ms. Goh also underwent the operation. So far, the surgery was a success and she’s currently going through recovery.

Fall injuries can be big or small, and Ms Goh started to feel mild pain five years ago but was left untreated. It was until two months ago she began to feel the pain became more intense. After undergoing a MRI scan, the doctor confirmed that the patient’s back had bone spurs, overwhelming the cartilage, which caused her the severe pain and in need to undergo surgery to resolve the issue.

Goh said that the pain has severely disrupted her daily lifestyle. Not only does she feel restless, the severe pain can’t be stopped even with painkillers. Plus, she is worried that the painkillers would affect the kidneys as well

As One Hope Charity launched the fundraiser yesterday, donations have been pouring in. At the same time during the fundraising campaign, Ms Goh is also in the hospital undergoing surgery.

Through One Hope Charity, Ms Goh would like to thank everyone for the contributions and helped her remove the roots of the heart-wrenching pain.
