Due to the increased cases of Covid-19, One Hope Charity had again donated medical equipments to Field ICU at Kepala Batas Hospital.

One Hope Charity & Welfare's chairman, Chua Sui Hau stated that One Hope Charity had received applications of assistance and had donated the items to the field ICU of Kepala Batas Hospital.

The medical equipments which are worth RM113,068 includes:

  1. 2 unit hemodialysis machine;

  2. 10 unit vacuum regulator with standard apparatus;

  3. 10 unit mounted high flow oxygen single flowmeter;

  4. 2 unit elite prone head rest (adult);

  5. 2 unit elite knee pad (adult);

  6. 2 unit dome positioner (adult);

  7. 2 unit elite flat bottom chest roll adult;

  8. 3 unit lockers ;

  9. 2 unit treatment trolley with guard;

  10. 2 unit blood/injection trolley; and

  11. 10 unit ward screen


Before this, One Hope Charity had also assisted in setting up the field ICU and donated medical equipment such as camps, Bomba equipment, water dispenser and food etc.

He hopes that the medical equipment contributed will aid the frontliners to their burden and increasing the speed of diagnosis and treatment for patients.

He stated that One Hope Charity will keep in touch with the government's medical team and will do their very best to help frontliners in combating Covid-19.

Field ICU deputy officer in command, Mr. Herman thanked One Hope Charity for the contribution and helping frontliners in reducing their burden.

He said that Field ICU is able to increase the capacity of ICU beds but is lacking medical equipment. The items contributed by One Hope Charity can help them to diagnoses and treat patients.

He stated that the Field ICU has 24 - 27 beds. Since the initiative of field ICU, 15 serious patients had been treated. There are 14 patients who are still under treatment.

Kepala Batas Hospital's director, Dr. Norhasimawati Binti Abdul Mutalib stated that the medical equipment are all used to treat Covid patients and this can greatly increase the productivity rate of treatment. Further, this also reduces the burden of the medical team.
