The Queue Management System (QMS)in the emergency department of Bukit Mertajam Hospital has been out of service since almost two years ago, and the medical personnel could only use a loudspeaker to call patients to inform them their turn to visit the doctor. One Hope Charity has received request for help earlier and decided to donate a set of QMS, two units of 32-inch television and three units of desktop computers worth RM45,328 to the hospital.

It was reported that the emergency department of Bukit Mertajam Hospital is the busiest emergency department in Penang. The department receives as many as 170 patients every day. Its QMS had breakdown two years ago and the medical personnel could only use loudspeaker to notify the queue to their patients. In rainy days, the announcements through loudspeaker often could not be heard.

The QMS and other items donated by One Hope Charity in a timely manner, at the request of the hospital could help to improve the facility of the hospital, it could also help to reduce the burden of the medical personnel, as well as allowing patients to wait for their treatment sessions in a quiet environment.

The donation could only be done through the supports and donations from the public. Your generosity have benefited many people. We would like to thank everyone for your contributions, and we hope that the donations could help more people.
