5 hours of setup for 450 beds, this is Penang’s largest low risk Covid Center in a stadium.
One Hope Charity collaborated with Health ministry to set up a low risk Covid Center in a stadium in Balik Pulau and had contributed 450 beds, mattress, pillows, water dispensers, fridge, fan, microwave etc.
Nearly a hundred of volunteer had helped setting up yesterday (13th) at 9am. From logistics to assemble, it took us 5 hours to complete our task.
A new batch of mattress is delivered to the stadium today (14th). The whole process is monitored by health officers to ensure that SOP is followed.
The bed frames, pillows etc are all contributed by One Hope Charity. Once the Center is shut down, the items will be sanitized and prepare for emergency situation such as flood.
The low risk Covid Center is still in preparation. It will be fully operating once the Health Minister announced the news.
We hope the the outbreak will be over soon and patients can recover soonest possible
