Wei Jia recovered and discharged!
The 15-month-old boy, Liew Wei Jia, has undergone a heart surgery, and his current situation is progressing well. The doctor approved him to be discharged from the hospital on New Year’s Eve.
Liew Wei Jia, 15 months old, who is from Sungai Petani, Kedah was a normal baby when was born. Few days after birth, doctor realised that he is facing breathing problem and was transferred to Penang’s General Hospital for check-up. He was diagnosed with congenital heart disease and requires medication.
He is supposed to undergo surgery when he is few months old but due to many reasons, his surgery was delayed. The hospital had scheduled his surgery in July but due to Covid-19 outbreak, his surgery was again delayed till December.
Lately, he was diagnosed with AVSD, ASD and PDA. Only surgery can improve his condition and the surgery cost is RM80,000.
After One Hope Charity launched fundraising, many benevolent people extended a helping hand to Wei Jia and raised the necessary surgical fees in a short period of time.
He was also able to undergo heart surgery in a short period of time. Now he is in good condition, he is cured and discharged, and he will grow up healthy and healthy in the future.
He has been discharged from the hospital, and his family hopes to thank all the benevolent donors who have helped their family through us, so that the Wei Jia can grow up healthy and happy.
