The elderly brothers are from Butterworth. The elder brother is 69 years old, and the younger brother is 68 years old. They're both single and retired.

Chong Lai Weng (68) used to work as a welder in an iron factory. He raised his provident fund deposits to live on after retiring 13 years ago. His provident fund is now depleted, and he must rely on his elder brother.

He has asthma and will become very short of breath if he moves too much. He can no longer even work part-time. He has no source of income. His home television has been damaged, and he does not have extra money to repair it.

In recent years, he frequently visited charitable organizations to receive dry food to satisfy his hunger. Since the epidemic has been contained, fewer organizations have distributed dry food to him, causing the two brothers to go hungry.

ONE HOPE CHARITY decided to give the brothers food boxes after their home visit so that they could satisfy their hunger and avoid starvation when they needed it.

If there are any poor or needy who need food box/bag welcome to apply from us. Any assistance please contact our hotline 016-419 2192, 019-232 2192, 04-5399212.
