The exercise to distribute 3,900 sets of food packages through 13 parliamentary reps in Penang has started. The distribution work will be done in batches where food supplies will be sent to underprivileged families to avoid them suffering from hunger.

Starting from July 9, One Hope Charity had distributed food packages Tanjung and Bukit Mertajam parliamentary constituencies though its supplier. On July 19, the distributions were done in Jelutong, Bukit Bendera, Bagan and Permatang Pauh parliamentary constituencies. Distribution of food packages in Balik Pulau, Kepala Batas and Tasek Gelugor were done on July 21, and distributions to Bayan Baru, Bukit Gelugor, Batu Kawan and Nibong Tebal constituencies will be done on the next day. Each parliamentary constituency will receive 300 bags of food packages where the MP or representatives will be handing over the packages to the poor and needy families based on the list compiled earlier.

Every package contains one packet of 2kg Milo, one packet of Nescafe, two cans each of baked beans and canned sardines, 1kg of butter, one packet of Nestum 3-in-1 cereal, one jar of 500gm peanut butter, one tin of assorted biscuits, five packets of instant noodles, one packet of 1.2kg oatmeal, one box of medical grade face masks, and one bottle of hand sanitizer.

Sharing is caring. One Hope Charity hopes that the essential items and food package could be a blessing to those underprivileged families and could temporarily relive their urgent needs. Special thanks to all kind souls who came forward to donate, so that more needy families could be benefited from the food packages distribution.
