The 49-year-old woman still short of RM80,000 medical fund and hoping for helps from the public.

Saodah Binti Abu Hassan, a woman who has been actively involving in charity collapsed suddenly. She was diagnosed with swelling and torn of cerebrovascular. After her family paid a large amount of medical expenses, they still short of RM80,000. One Hope Charity conducted a fundraising campaign for her few days back, and her willingness to help those in need has touched the heart of many people. Donors had come forward to help her and successfully raised the amount her needed. Her condition has improved and is now out of danger.

Saodah suddenly suffered from severe headache and confusion around midnight on May 24 and was sent the hospital where scan was conducted. The doctor discovered that her cerebrovascular was swollen and bleeding, and she needed to undergo an emergency surgery. After her surgery, she developed fever and vomited, and her condition was unstable.

Later, she suffered from hydrocephalus where the doctor had to perform another surgery to implant a shunt in her brain, which increased the amount of her medical bills and stressed her family out. Her family members borrowed money from their relatives and friends, and also conducted a fundraising online, but they could only raise RM101,000. There was still a shortfall of RM80,000. Hence, they approached One Hope Charity for help.

After reviewing the case, One Hope Charity decided to raise the remaining RM80,000, and now, the amount has been successfully raised. Saodah’s condition has also improved. She is now out of danger and no longer having the need to be observed in the intensive care unit (ICU). She has been transferred to a government hospital for further and follow-up treatments.
