“Thank you everyone. I will continue to stay strong and accept the treatment and I will repay my parents once I am recovered.”

With his leukemia becoming worse, Wong must undergo chemotherapy treatment and the bone marrow transplant soon. Thankfully, the fundraiser has successfully raised RM180,000 in a short time to pay for Wong’s medical fee. Currently, he is undergoing the needed chemotherapy sessions before his bone marrow transplant.

The 34-year-old came from a poor family. In 2019, he was diagnosed with leukemia. He found it hard to accept the fact at first, because he had no symptoms during his youth and has been growing healthily. He managed to learn a new skill, which helped change the lives of their family for the better, but had to bear the sad news.

With only his parents by his side, Wong had to stay strong and prepare for the needed treatment to be better. In his condition, he needs a bone marrow transplant and thus far, a suitable bone marrow has been found.

Not long after One Hope Charity had launched the fundraiser, the needed fund of RM180,000 had been reached. Once Wong’s chemotherapy is complete, the bone marrow transplant can be done around early June if everything goes smoothly.

Wong and his family wish to thank all of you kind-hearted donors for giving him a glimmering hope, allowing him to have a second chance in life.
