【Case 1: Leong Fook Kheng, 88 years old】

Madam Leong are unable to taking care of herself since 8 years ago due to body has been aging and weak.

The family are unable to send Madam Leong to elderly care homes due to family financial problem. Hence, the elderly son resigned from his job and taking care of her mother. And the family expenses are all bare by the youngest son who work as wireman.

Madam Leong have 2 sons, both are in 50+ years old and single.

The Movement Control Order highly impacted the younger brother’s salary which his salary is according to daily job done.

According to the elder son, he will back to his previous job as a machine technician after Madam Leong pass away. And he promised that will contribute to the society after he return to his job.

【Case 2: Chew Say Mooi, 67 years old】

Madam Chew admitted to hospital last Saturday and since then, her family are unable to see her due to hospital policy during pandemic season.

And while they received the call from hospital, they worried about the medical bills, so that they decided to borrow the money from friends and neighbor.

The process of borrow money had delayed their journey to the hospital as planned and while they reached the hospital, they found out the Madam Chew had passed away.

Madam Chew stays with her daughter who is a single mother with 2 kids. Daughter’s income has been highly impacted due to her job as an office cleaner has to be stop after the company stop operating. Currently she helped her friend to pack some toy and plastic ornaments to earn the living.
