The 84-year-old old woman died of illness in the hospital. One Hope Charity gathered the donations from the public and offered her with a coffin, as well as undertook her funeral matters the columbarium for the old woman.

Fuh Ah Nya, an 84-year-old Chinese woman, was sent to the hospital due to a fall in a coma. She was found to be suffering from pneumonia and died a few days after being treated in the hospital.

Fuh Ah Nya has a son and a daughter, and the two children's work careers are not going well. In order to subsidize the family, the old woman has been helping to wash cups in a nearby coffee shop for more than 10 years.

The epidemic in the past two years has led to a reduction in the income of the children, and they were unable to work due to the MCO. Faced with the sudden bad news, the children could not afford the funeral, so they sought assistance from the ONE HOPE CHARITY for funeral expenses and columbarium.

One Hope Charity made good use of the public donations for “Funeral and Burial Assistance” to deal with the last rites of the old woman such as provided her with a coffin, conducted prayers, funerals, and cremation. As she did not have any relatives or descendants, One Hope Charity will move and place her ashes to a columbarium in Bukit Mertajam.

One Hope Charity has always been providing funeral and burial assistances to poor and underprivileged families. As long as a family fulfilled the qualifications, One Hope Charity would take charge of the funeral expenses, so that the family could give their loved one a dignified send-off.

If there are any poor or needy who could not afford and manage the funeral for their loved ones, or there are any elderly living alone who are interested in registering for the “Promise of the Last Journey” programme, kindly contact ONE HOPE CHARITY at 016-419 2192, 019-232 2192 or 04-539 9212 for help.
