During the Chinese New Year, a bachelor who lived alone lost contact with his family. The family members on the outskirts requested that ONE HOPE CHARITY investigate what had occurred. When the volunteers came to visit, they noticed something odd. They called the cops to break into the house and discovered that the bachelor had died unexpectedly at home.

61-year-old Goh Kah Lye has been ill for a long time and is currently under the care of ONE HOPE CHARITY. Our team received a phone call from a family member stating that he had been unable to contact him for several days. Upon learning of the situation, ONE HOPE CHARITY immediately dispatched a team to investigate.

When our team arrived, they discovered their motorcycle parked in front of the house. The lights were turned on inside the house, but the doors and windows were locked. After calling outside the door and receiving no response, volunteers were forced to contact the local police. When the police arrived and broke into the house, it was discovered that he had been dying for several days.

The autopsy report revealed that he died as a result of the epidemic, and there was no criminal suspicion. Given that the deceased had entrusted ONE HOPE CHARITY with his funeral arrangements, ONE HOPE CHARITY collected donations from everyone in accordance with his wishes to provide a coffin and funeral arrangements for him.

If there are any poor or needy who could not afford and manage the funeral for their loved ones, or there are any elderly living alone who are interested in registering for the “Promise of the Last Journey” programme, kindly contact ONE HOPE CHARITY at 016-419 2192, 019-232 2192 or 04-539 9212 for help.
