It is sad to loss a loved one, and it is even worse for the underprivileged as they need to worry about the funeral expenses. In January this year, One Hope Charity managed to gather general donations from the well-wishers and provided free coffins, as well as funeral assistance for 12 underprivileged deceased.

The deceased were either from the poor and underprivileged families, or those lonely elderlies with no next-of-kin. Some families were unable to bear the funeral expenses of their loved one due to financial constraints, or the deceased did not have a child or next-of-kin to handle their funeral. One Hope Charity will be entrusted to deal with it, including to provide coffins, assist in the wake and funeral, and the arrangement for cremation.

One Hope Charity will treat all the deceased benefited from its Funeral and Burial Assistances like its family members. Volunteers will be taking part from the procedure of claiming the body to the funeral and cremation. If a deceased did not have any relatives, the volunteers will even help in collecting of the ashes.

Thanks to all generous individuals and corporate companies for their general donations which enabled One Hope Charity to provide help to those from poor and underprivileged families during emergency situations, as well as to let lonely elderlies and deceased from poor families to conclude their life journey with dignity.

If there are any poor or needy who could not afford and manage the funeral for their loved ones, or there are any elderly living alone who are interested in registering for the “Promise of the Last Journey” programme, kindly contact One Hope Charity at 016-419 2192, 019-232 2192 or 04-539 9212 for help.
