After choking on her food, the 31-year-old woman was taken to the hospital's emergency room. She was horrified to discover that the malignancy was swelled, pressing against the esophagus and that the lungs also contained water. The hospital gave her a Hodgkin lymphoma diagnosis while she was younger than 30 years old.

Chemotherapy was administered to Kishbu Selvaraju between the months of 2019 and June 2020 in accordance with the doctor's orders, however following the positron emission tomography scan, the hospital determined that chemotherapy was still necessary. Her body, however, was unable to handle the side effects of chemotherapy. She began her first radiation treatment in July 2020; she began radiation treatment for her spine the following year; and she is currently beginning her third radiation treatment, which mostly targets her spine and lower rib cage.

She had begun the third cycle of treatment, but she had to halt it when she got shingles because of her poor immune system at the time. She must now wait until the herpes is completely healed before resuming the medication. Kishbu Selvaraju, age 31, has lost weight as a result of numerous treatments, but now she has begun to rediscover her appetite.

Her body was impacted by the repeated treatments, but the expense also caused her a lot of problems. With a monthly salary of roughly RM5,600 and a contract that only lasts until June 2023, she currently manages human resources for a business. Kishbu Selvaraju's parents have long since passed away, and he no longer communicates with his older brother. The other six relatives are currently housed together. Although she does not have to pay the mortgage, she still has expenses to cover such as a portion of the household expenses, water and energy costs, PTPTN repayment, a car loan, etc., which leaves little of her monthly paycheck.

Around RM27,500 was spent on the first two radiation treatments, part of which she paid for herself with assistance from family and friends. She was compelled to seek assistance from the public since she and her family and friends were unable to pay for the third round of radiation therapy.

To help her finish the radiation therapy, ONE HOPE CHARITY provide her RM8,750 from the "emergency medical reserve money". The public's kind gifts have allowed the foundation to offer urgent aid to vulnerable groups at this crucial time, and they are greatly appreciated. The foundation hopes that everyone would support her and pray for an improvement in her health.

ONE HOPE CHARITY determined the medical fee needed for assistance. We did not start fundraising because the medical fee was less than RM20,000. Instead, it made good use of the usual well-meaning donations to assist Kishbu Selvaraju.
