The majority of people are in poor health, and everyone will get minor illnesses, especially the elderly, who may require surgery due to vision problems and the buildup of eye film or may find it difficult to walk due to stiff knees.

Even though the medical system in my country is excellent, patients still have to pay for these minor surgical procedures. Additionally, some patients who have had strokes require physical therapy, and those who are bedridden for an extended period of time require assistance such as milk powder and diapers. These seemingly unimportant costs can be a big burden for wealthy families.

In August, ONE HOPE CHARITY assisted 35 patients in applying for various medical expenses, including surgical expenses, medical equipment, wound cleaning expenses, physical therapy expenses, and medicine expenses, totaling RM62,000.

In September, a total of 51 people were assisted in resolving their issues. Milk powder diapers, dry food assistance, medical assistance, and other items were provided, totaling RM78,682.

In October, it assisted 42 people with wound washing expenses, small knee surgery expenses, eye membrane surgery expenses, medical equipment, etc., involving a sum of RM66,920.

It helped 58 individuals in November with a total of RM86,420 in applications. The assistance items included dry food, a CPAP machine, hearing aids, heart surgery costs, cataract surgery costs, and medicine expenses.

The beneficiaries include three major races. They seek help because of financial difficulties. After the review, we will help these patients who really need it to get assistance and help them tide over the difficulties.

In general, for cases that need assistance of not more than RM20,000, One Hope Charity will not initiate fundraising but would make good use of public donations to help those who are in need. Anyone who needs medical assistance, such as hospital beds, wheelchairs, crutches, oxygen machines, special milk formula, diapers or other assistance can contact One Hope Charity’s hotline at 016-419 2192, 019-232 2192 or 04-539 9212.
