The old woman has been suffering from diabetes for more than 20 years and is controlled by medication. In August 2021, it suddenly deteriorated, causing her toes to suddenly turn black. After being forced to amputate her right middle toe, the wound could not heal. ONE HOPE CHARITY provides assistance for RM900 for the wound cleaning expenses to prevent the wound from getting worse.

Kong Yang Seok, a 69-year-old woman from Bukit Mertajam, was discharged from the hospital after amputating her right middle toe in August 2021. Although she cleaned the wound, the wound did not heal, and, her wound was infected with bacteria. Her friend recommended another clinic to clean the wound. The daily cost of wound cleaning is RM30. Although RM30 is not a large amount, it is a heavy expense for an elderly woman who cannot make ends meet.

Her husband is a hawker, died in a car accident more than 20 years ago. Now she barely survived on the RM300 monthly aid given by the social insurance agency. Present, she processing anchovies at home with her friends, earning about RM10 daily.

After the home visit, ONE HOPE CHARITY decided to assist her with the cost of cleaning the wound for up to one month. In addition, ONE HOPE CHARITY also assisted with dried food, and during Chinese New Year's Eve, she was also one of the beneficiaries of the Poon Choi and Chinese New Year supplies distributed.
