One Hope Charity continuously provides assistance on the much-needed facilities and medical equipment that worth more than RM300,000.00 to government hospitals in Penang.

Dato’ Chua Sui Hau, Chairman of One Hope Charity, highlighted that emergency rescue is like fighting a fire, cooperating to treat patients, and timely support of medical equipment can turn crisis into hope after being put into use so that patients who urgently need medical equipment can be saved.

‘The total value of these facilities and medical equipment are more than RM300,00.00. It is including 100 Specialty Hospital Beds, Cardiotocography Machine, Ultrasound Machines, Infant Radiant Warmer, Doppler Fetal Monitor, Oxygen Nasal Cannula and more. All the facilities and medical equipment will be distributed by JKN Pulau Pinang to Hospital Pulau Pinang, Hospital Kepala Batas, Hospital Seberang Jaya, Hospital Balik Pulau and 2 Field Intensive Care Units (Medan ICU) set up at Hospital Pulau Pinang and Hospital Kepala Batas.’

Dato' Chua together with our consultant Dato Seri R. Arunasalam handed over the facilities and medical equipment to Dr. Salahuddeen, Public Health Specialist of Penang State Health Department. The ceremony was carried at Penang State Health Department’s office on Monday afternoon.

‘Apart from donating medical equipment, we also sponsor 3 months rental for Kompleks Masyarakat Penyayang Pulau Pinang that serves as a quarantine center and assessment center that includes 80-foot-long tent, tables, air coolers, and fans.’

‘One Hope Charity has been continuously providing assistance to the Malaysia Government Hospital ever since the emergence of the pandemic in early last year. Even though the decrease in the number of Covid-19 patients, some hospitals still facing challenges in medical equipment resources. We are responded to appeals by the hospitals and thus we attend to the needs of the healthcare system through our contribution’ said Dato’ Chua.
