Distance is never an issue for One Hope Charity when offering help. This time, the charitable organisation offers help to a hospital in East Malaysia where medical equipment donation was made to Sibu Hospital in Sarawak, to support the hospital’s fight against Covid-19 pandemic and its health services provided to the people.

One Hope Charity & Welfare chairman Dato’ Chua Sui Hau said that One Hope Charity received a help request from Sibu Hospital in early October as the hospital is in urgent need of medical equipment to fight against Covid-19 and to provide treatment to critically ill patients. And now, the medical equipment needed have been successfully delivered to the hospital and it has all been put into operation.

He said that the team from One Hope Charity started to search for quotation and supplier of the medical equipment right after One Hope Charity received request from the hospital. As the location of the hospital is far, special logistic arrangements was done to ensure the medical equipment arrived on schedule. The organisation was glad to have support from all agencies throughout the delivery process.

He said that the medical equipment which cost RM208,000 comprise of five sets of high flow nasal cannulas, five units of bedside patient monitors, five units of syringe pumps, and five units of infusion pumps. The equipment will be used at Covid-19 ward and the intensive care units of Sibu Hospital.

He added that everyone must join hands to support the hospitals in fighting against Covid-19. We need to ensure that the medical system is complete and fully equipped, so that the best medical services can be provided to the people. He also thanked generous individuals for their donations made to One Hope Charity.

“With your trust and supports, One Hope Charity can continue to help government hospitals and provide them with equipment supports when any of the hospitals is in need.”
