‘I will go back to work after my eye is recover. I want to earn money to look after myself’

Michael Ng Cheng Eng, an electrical technician suffered from glaucoma five years ago. The corneal transplantation surgery will be performed on 23 February 2022. The RM43,000 of surgical fee and medical expenses had been raised completely.

Michael Ng was diagnosed with glaucoma in 2017, his eyesight continued to be deteriorated. He has not received any training for visual impairment therefore he faces many obstacles in his life.

Michael Ng can only rely on the only 3% of his vision in his right eye. However, this 3% vision only allows him to see black shadows, which is extremely inconvenient for his life.

He was experienced many problems on his life. For example, he wanted to hang out some wash because he couldn't see the hanger, he was hit his head on the hanger. Besides that, he was wandering at the same place as well as experienced fell when he was going out to buy food.

The doctor determined that his left eye was suitable for corneal transplantation, transplantation for his right eye was not recommended. However, the transplantation and post-surgery nursing care cost RM43,000., he is unable to afford it. Hence, his friend approached ONE HOPE CHARITY for help of behalf of Michael Ng.

ONE HOPE CHARITY launched fundraising for Michael Ng, the donations came one after another. At present, the funds have been raised. Michael Ng is appreciate and grateful the donations and blessing from the public.
