To contribute during the battle against Covid-19, MS PCB HK Limited had fulfilled their corporate social responsibility (CSR) by donating RM50,000 to One Hope Charity & Welfare to help initiating Covid-19 relief program and aiding the poor. This had allowed the needy families to obtain essential items.
MS PCB Group’s managing director, Mr. KW Ng passed the cheque to One Hope Charity on Monday (28th June). The cheque was accepted by One Hope Charity’s Chairman, Mr. Chua Sui Hau.
Mr. KW Ng said that during the outbreak of Covid-19, many organization was badly affected. Certain low-income group are affected and lost their job. This had made him to recall his childhood memory of his family receiving aid from others. He had decided to fulfil their corporate social responsibility and giving back to the society to help the needy families.
He stated that in order to fulfil CSR, they would require to search for a trustworthy charitable organization. After consideration, the company had decided to contribute to One Hope Charity.
One Hope Charity’s Chairman , Mr. Chua Sui Hau greatly appreciate the contribution and support from MS PCB HK Limited.
He said that after the implementation of Full Movement Control Order in June, certain groups did not have any income. They were facing difficulties in their life which had led them to contact One Hope Charity.
He stated that during the outbreak of Covid-19, One Hope Charity had decided to courier the essential items to the needy families after considering about breaking the chain of infection. This can also ensure that the needy families are able to receive the items swiftly. One Hope Charity had allocated 5000 packs of essential items to assist the needy families. Applicants who are from the outskirts will be approved after background check and the essential items will be couriered.
He added that the beneficiaries who are nearby will be contacted by One Hope Charity’s volunteer to arrange for collection under strict SOP. The 5000 packs of essential items cost RM200 each.
He thank the generous donors and organizations who trusted and supported One Hope Charity. With the help from the public, One Hope Charity is able to bring hope and warmth to the needy.
