With the help of his son, 60-year-old Nik Arshad Bin Nik Ismail, who was unconscious after a sudden stroke in August last year, can now walk into One Hope Charity Service Centre. He personally thanks everyone for their assistance, which allowed him to recover so quickly.

Nik Arshad was the breadwinner of the family. In August last year, he suffered a stroke and fell to the ground when he was at work. After being sent to the hospital for examination, he was confirmed to have suffered from a stroke. Due to the seriousness of his condition, he needed to undergo the mechanical thrombectomy, but his children could not afford his surgical fee at that time.

Fortunately, the donations from the public allowed him to undergo the surgery in time, and because the surgery was performed within the golden window, the chances of brain cells damage was reduced, which enabled him to recover smoothly.

Five months later, Nik Arshad recuperated well. Although his reaction is still a bit slow, but he can now handle his daily life on his own.

When his son took him to One Hope Charity Service Centre a few days ago, he confessed that he had no impression at all about the incident that happened then. Later, his family told him that it was the assistance of One Hope Charity & Welfare that allowed him to get through the difficult time. He is very grateful to all the public who donated, so that he can have a 'second life'.

He promised that he will serve as a volunteer in his lifetime to help more people in need.
