Those in the waiting list have successively been arranged to receive their vaccinations. Some of them overjoyed upon receiving the call informing them about the vaccination appointment, but some thought that it was a phone scam at first but happily accepted their appointment after confirming the authenticity of the call.

Earlier, One Hope Charity allowed the public to apply to be placed in the waiting list for their vaccination, and the response was overwhelming. In about two hours, the organisation received more than 20,000 applications. The vaccination centre’s hotline was overloaded by phone calls. The volunteering team could not reply one by one, and hopes that the public could wait patiently.

According to the application guidelines issued by One Hope Charity earlier, the organisation only accepts text messages and MySejahtera screenshots will not be accepted. Eligible applicants’ information will be abstracted by the system and arrangement will be made based on the application time. If only screenshots were provided, or the information given was not complete, the system will not be able to track the relevant message.

As for all the applicants that fulfilled the requirement, their names will be recorded and arrangements will be made for them to receive their vaccination. Some of the applicants have received their appointments and also present at the vaccination centre for their vaccination.

Twin sisters Lim Ying Jie and Lim Ying Wei: We have been following One Hope Charity on their Facebook. It was our mother who helped us on the application and we are glad that we could receive our vaccination together.

Lim Tiong Teng: I applied as soon as the registration opened, and I did not wait long for my turn. Thank you, One Hope!

Ang Siau Hooi: I applied immediately when I saw the registration opened. I thought that my turn would not be so soon. It was a surprise when I was asked to get my jab just a few days after my application.

Ng Soo Chin: I thought it was a phone scam. After some confirmation, it was really One Hope that called me up for my turn.

Lim Choon Thing: Thank you, One Hope. I have registered for a long time but I was not called for my vaccination. I applied immediately when I saw One Hope opened up their waiting list application and I got my appointment very soon.

Ko Yean Yean: I have not received my appointment since I registered in March. But my application through One Hope was approved so soon. I also asked my colleagues to send in their applications.
