“Special thanks to all of you, our dearest daughter is now free from heart disease, and we no longer have to live in fear!”

After receiving her heart surgery, little Nur Darisya Farha is slowly gaining back her health. Her face used to turn purplish when there is a delay in getting her medication, but it is not the case anymore. Now, she is one of the most adorable little girls around, with a pair of chubby, rosy blush cheeks.

Nur Darisya Farha, who is from Bacham in Perak, was suffering from Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF), a congenital heart defect that affects normal blood flow through a patient’s heart. Prior to the surgery, Nur Darisya Farha had to be on medication all the time; her purplish face was a signal of danger whenever she couldn’t take her medication on time. Her parents lived in constant fear due to her medical condition.

The fundraising for the cost of her surgery initiated by One Hope Charity received tremendous response from well-wishers and donations came pouring in quickly. Because of the public’s generosity, Nur Darisya Farha successfully received the fund she needed for her surgery.

She underwent a successful surgery on April 5, and was placed in the intensive care unit (ICU) for two days before being transferred to the normal ward. Her recovery process went remarkably well, and she was discharged on April 11. Although she still has to go for regular medical checkups, the doctor is happy with her present health condition.

Nur Darisya Farha’s parents would like to thank all the donors of One Hope Charity, who had given so generously to their family without regard for race and religion. Following the discharge of their dearest daughter from the hospital, they can now step into a life where they do not have to constantly fear and worry about their daughter’s life.
