The fund needed by Ramzan Rani Binti Jawahar Raja, who suffers from rheumatoid arthritis due to a weakened immune system has been successfully raised. Hence, One Hope Charity will stop the fundraising immediately. Ramzan Rani needed RM60,099 to purchase special medicine for her treatment.

And now, Ramzan Rani has started to inject her first dose of medication. After the injection, the swelling of her hands and feet has improved, and she can also bend her fingers. Her wish of carrying her child was also being granted.

31-year-old Ramzan Rani suddenly felt pain and stiffness in the joints of her hands and feet in January 2020. She went to the hospital for a check, and it was confirmed that she had rheumatoid arthritis due to a weakened immune system. She looked normal from outside, but the joints of her fingers and toes were swollen and unable to bend. The pain she suffered was unbearable and it had affected her daily life.

Side effects occurred after she took the oral medication so the doctor suggested her to change to a new medicine. She needs to inject a special medicine once a month, and each dose cost over RM3,700. However, the medicine is not available in government hospitals so she needs to purchase the medicine at her own expense.

After One Hope Charity launched a fundraising for her, donations came pouring in. Ramzan Rani Binti Jawahar was very touched by the kind act of the well-wishers. She thanked all the donors who offered help regardless of race and religion, which made her feel that there is still love in the world.
