Hospital Balik Pulau radiologist Audi bin Marwoto, who is now one of the frontliners amid the pandemic, had been holding onto fear and anxiety for his 5 months old child who had suffered heart disease since June last year.

Audi has carried a lot of weight over his shoulders not only as a frontliner but also a father for his sick infant. In October 2020, he and his wife had requested for funds from One Hope Charity and, with the public donations and support, they managed to receive enough funds to pay for the child’s surgery fee.

On November 3 last year, the surgery has shown good progress and the young boy, Muhammad Ali Hafiy, was discharged from the hospital on November 17 upon recovery. The father was thoroughly relieved and can now put all his focus in the front lines.

Yesterday, Audi brought a hand-made wooden clock, imprinted with his gratitude and remarks on the side, and handed over to One Hope Charity as a token of appreciation. In addition, the family has also made some donations in hopes to reach out and help those who are in need.

To date, the baby is now 8 months old, and although he is still being fed via nasogastric tube, he is now growing to be a healthy boy. According to the mother, the baby has been used to being fed through the feed tube and would take some time and practice before able to drink milk properly.

Whether it is helping the sick, the disadvantaged group, or holding a proper burial, the foundation would always be their voice to promote their cause and spread love endlessly, so that every recipient can also be a kind-hearted donor.

Just like the story of Muhammad Ali Hafiy’s family, who have started a new chapter of life with hope thanks to the kind-hearted souls, have also given their love and support, in hopes to reach out those who are in need.
