Little life is in a race against time. On December 13, 2022, fundraising began. The fundraising had reached 80% as of 20/12/2022, but it was still RM1.8 million short of the target.
Baby Reese Tan RuiXin has the second type of spinal muscular atrophy (SMA). She is currently 17 months old, and she must receive the Zolgensma gene therapy before reaching the age of two. If she does not receive treatment, her body will gradually weaken, and she will be unable to walk for the rest of her life, as well as have difficulty swallowing and breathing on her own.
