Baby Reese who is suffering from SMA, a rare genetic disease requires RM9mil of a treatment called Zolgensma gene therapy and this case was a hit for the public.

She requires to undergo the treatment before turning 2 and she is now 18 months old. The fundraising campaign is completed successfully within 7 days 22 hours.

While the fundraising was still ongoing, One Hope’s purchasing department already contacted the pharmaceutical company and hospital.

Once fundraising campaign was completed, it took 2 weeks for One Hope Charity to communicate with the pharmaceutical company, transporter, custom etc.

Zolgensma is a one-time infusion gene therapy and it is extremely expensive. Hence, caution should be taken throughout the transportation process.
