A book which records the changes of cinema was written by Cathay Cineplex's Dato Chiah Chye Kee. The revenue will be all donated to One Hope Charity.
Dato' Chiah Chye Kee had been involved in cinema business for many years. The book records the history and his journey in cinema business. The book also includes many old photos.
One Hope Charity was invited on 28th March for the book launching event. Through his journey in cinema business, he did not forget about charity works and donated the revenue to One Hope Charity.
Only 1000 copies of the book are sold, and each are with unique code.
Many of Dato Chiah's artist friend came to support his book launching event and many of them had purchased the book. In this way, they are also supporting charity works indirectly.
