“Thank you for giving little Zhi Ning a chance to hear voices and sounds around her.”

Tan Zhi Ning, a girl who was born with hearing impairment, was found to have cyst in her brain before she was born. She had a surgery to remove the cyst when she was just two months old but was later diagnosed with congenital hearing impairment when she was seven months old, and needed a cochlear implant. And now, little Zhi Ning has undergone a successful cochlear implantation surgery. Everything is going smoothly and she is in the process of adaptation.

Little Zhi Ning is now three years old. Thanks to the donations from all the well-wishers, she was able to have cochlear implants in both her ears within the golden window. It is believed that after the adaptation period and speech therapy sessions, she will soon catch up with the learning pace of other children of her age. Going to the kindergarten will no longer be a dream for her.

Hearing ability is very important for a child. If a child cannot hear, it means that her language development will be affected. Therefore, the sooner a cochlear is implanted, the lesser impact it will be on her in the future.

Her parents are very grateful for the public donations that brings little Zhi Ning out of the silent world.
